Field notes from Isla Colon:
This individual came very late at night to a mercury vapor bulb screwed into a porch fixture at the ITEC field station. It's the only one I have seen under any circumstances on Isla Colon. This species has one of the widest ranges of any neotropical Sphingid, extending from Brazil to Canada.
